Tungsten Alloy
Product Tungsten Heavy Alloy (W Heavy Alloy)
Part Number TRM-W001
Standard ASTM B777
Content W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu (W 90-98%)
Density (g/cm3) 16.85-18.85

Tungsten heavy alloys are the tungsten alloys consisting of W-Ni-Fe or W-Ni-Cu. The tungsten content varies from 90% to 98%. Nickel, iron and/or copper serve as a metal binder matrix, which makes the tungsten alloys ductile and easy to machine. Tungsten alloys have the high melting point, the high density, the low thermal expansion coefficient, the high strength, the high modulus of elasticity, and the high absorption capacity of high energy rays.
ASTM B777 covers four classes with different tungsten contents and densities. We can offer the tungsten alloys under the ASTM B777 standard with various dimensions in forms of plates, rods or other parts on request.

Application: As balancing weights, high temperature molds, protection shields for high energy rays, armor piercing shells and etc. Tungsten heavy alloys are widely used in the national defense industry, aerospace industry and civil industry (such as electrical industry, drilling industry, etc.).

Thermostability 95%
Machinability 50%
Corrosion Resistance 85%
