Product Tantalum Wire
Part Number TRM-TA006
Standard ASTM B365 or ASTM F560 (Medical Application)
Material UNS R05200/ UNS R05400
Density 16.68 g/cm3
CAS Number 7440-25-7

Tantalum’s chemical inertness makes it the valued material for the laboratory equipment, and it can be in place of the platinum. Since the tantalum is bio-inert and non-magnetic, the tantalum implants are considered to be acceptable by MRI procedures. In addition, the tantalum can be drawn into fine wires as it has good ductility. TRM provides various dimensions of tantalum wires. Specifications are under ASTM B365 and ASTM F560 for Medical Applications, and higher purity 99.95% or even 99.99% is available on request. Our tantalum material is from Non-Conflict Resource.

Application: The tantalum wire under ASTM F560 medical grade can be headed into the tantalum balls, tantalum beads, tantalum pins, tantalum spheres and etc. Tantalum wires can be furnished in coils or on spools as request.
