In addition to the conventional round marker bands, TRM can also supply our customers with split marker bands (also known as cut marker bands). They are usually C-shaped marker bands (C marker bands). They are more flexible as catheter marker bands. TRM can supply split marker bands made of various materials, including Pt/Ir (Pt/Ir10), tantalum, and other materials as per the customer’s specifications.
The production process is to produce a long tubing with the required outer diameter and inner diameter first, and then cut the long tubing into the required length while simultaneously cutting the slit. We can control the ID/OD/wall thickness tolerances for the pre-cut tubing, and control the length/arc length tolerances for the post-cut split marker bands.
Radiopaque marker bands can be used in medical device industry, including minimally invasive surgery. And they are typically made from the high density metals, such as platinum, Pt/Ir, gold, and tantalum.
Our split radiopaque marker bands conform to stringent dimension tolerances and high quality levels. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more details.
Typical Application:
Radiopaque split marker bands, which can be used as a part of medical devices.
