Radiopaque marker bands can be used in medical device industry, including minimally invasive surgery. And they are typically made from the high density metal, such as platinum, Pt/Ir, gold, and tantalum.
Platinum is a transition metal with high density, extensibility, silver color, metallic luster, hardness of 4-4.5 and relative density of 21.45 g/cm3. The melting point is 1772°C. The purity is 99.9% minimum.
Its ductility is the highest of all pure metals, better than gold, silver, and copper, but its malleability is lower than gold. Platinum metal has strong corrosion resistance, is very stable at high temperature, and its electrical properties are also very stable.
Platinum (Pt) can be used as the marker band for the catheter in the medical industry. It is a kind of marking ring used as X-ray development mark in the distal working area in interventional therapy, which belongs to disposable medical materials. TRM can also provide Pt Ring Electrode and Pt Capillary Tubing for the medical and the surgery robot industry.
TRM can provide Pt marker bands, as well as Pt/Ir marker bands, Au marker bands, and tantalum (Ta) marker bands with stringent dimension tolerances and high quality level.
We also provide the further processing, like cutting, splitting, drilling holes, etc. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more details.
