MMO Titanium Anode, also called as MMO anode. MMO is the abbreviation of Mixed Metal Oxide.It takes titanium as the substrate, and coated with the precious metal oxide on the titanium substrate to make it have the good electrocatalytic activity and conductivity. It’s also known as DSA anode (Dimension Stable Anode), DSE (Dimension Stable electrode), PMTA (Precious Metal-coated Titanium Anode), OCTA (Oxide Coated Titanium Anode), ATA (Activated Titanium Anode, or NMCA (Noble Metal Coated Anode).

MMO Titanium Anode Wire is composed of a layer of metal oxides (such as IrO2 Ta2O5) with electrocatalytic activity on titanium substrate. Oxide coating has small polarization and low consumption rate. By adjusting the composition of oxide layer, it can be adapted to different environments, such as seawater, fresh water and soil. Because precious metal oxide anode has the advantages that other anodes do not have, it has become one of the most ideal and promising auxiliary anode materials.

The application principle and method of MMO titanium anode wire in cathodic protection is basically the same as that of titanium anode ribbon and titanium mesh anode. When used in the MMO/Ti flexible anode, as the core of the MMO anode, the flexible anode can achieve high discharge density and long service life.

The application fields of MMO Anode Wire are as follows:

  1. It can be used as auxiliary anode of cathodic protection alone, or used as tubular anode and flexible anode of MMO electrocatalytic electrode;
  2. It can be applied to cathodic protection of continuous horizontal ground bed, discontinuous vertical ground surface, storage tank equipment, cable protection, boiling water container, etc.;
  3. It can also be used as auxiliary anode for industrial electroplating and electrocatalytic oxidation electrode for electrochemical water treatment.
