Zirconium (Zr) is a silver white metal with a high melting point, moderate density and good strength. Zirconium, like titanium, has excellent corrosion resistance in many acid and alkali media. Therefore, zirconium is an excellent corrosion resistant structural material for chemical industry. Moreover, the thermal neutron absorption cross section of Zirconium is small, which is an important structural material in the nuclear industry.
The main products of the industrial pure zirconium are sheets, pipes, forgings, bars, welding wires and so on.
Application: It is used to make pressure vessels, heat exchangers, towers, agitators and other structural parts. The working temperature can reach 300 to 375℃.
